I build with AI every day — as a founder, as a developer, as someone who context-switches between a dozen different tools before lunch. And for a while I thought the problem was that AI had no memory.
Then the platforms added memory. ChatGPT remembered things. Claude remembered things. Cursor tracked my project context. But here's what I actually noticed: I was still repeating myself constantly.
Because the memory was siloed. What ChatGPT knew about me, Claude didn't. What Cursor knew about my stack, Gemini had no idea. Every time I opened a new tool or started a new session, I was back to square one — repasting context, re-explaining goals, re-establishing who I am and what I'm building.
